One way to check out and identify a good home builder is to pay attention to certain parts of houses they have constructed for past clients.

Notice the windows and doors, because these two are often among the most difficult part of the construction project. Does glass appear to be in place in the windows? Are any panes loose, or have any cracks? Do the windows and doors open easily, and close just as easily? Look at the seals around the windows. Does the seal appear to be good in all of them? If you answered no to any of these questions, keep looking for another builder.
